Save the date! Webinar, 18 June 10:30 – 12:00  CEST

CIRCOMOD, CircEUlar, and CO2NSTRUCT projects invite you to the webinar “Building a Greener Future: Circular Economy Strategies for Climate Change Mitigation in the Built Environment,” hosted as part of EU Green Week 2025.

This webinar explores the role of circular economy practices in the built environment as a means of mitigating climate change. Our experts will discuss relevant policies, circular pathways, and consumer behaviour, highlighting strategies to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions.

  • Peter Berrill (Leiden University, CIRCOMOD) will present circular pathways for the built environment in Europe.
  • Sofia Simões (LNEG, CO2NSTRUCT) will showcase a value chain approach to enhance climate mitigation models with circular economy practices, focusing on the case of flat glass.
  • Adriana Gómez-Sanabria (IIASA, CircEUlar) will discuss how smarter design and use of household appliances can support the transition to a circular Europe.

The event is open to all interested parties, but will be particularly relevant to policymakers, industry representatives, researchers, and professionals engaged in sustainable construction, urban planning, circular economy initiatives, and environmental policy.
